Why SCOTT COUCHENOUR for York County Council District 7?

Look at all this commercial development going on in District 7 with no impact fees. Thereβs hundreds of thousands of dollars that York County could have collected this year if council would have imposed impact fees like staff was recommending.
Growth Paying For Growth!
New Fire Stations and Equipment for Flint Hill Fire Department with no tax increase. These extra funds could have offset the staff expenses and allowed for Flint Hill Fire Department to get the full staff it needs and support it worked on for 18 months before it got vote out during thrid and final vote on the budget.
Fort Mill will be collecting $424,000 on one project coming up and almost half will go to support the fire department. If the county had the same impact fees, this hospital still would have selected this site in York County. These fees are small compared to the total cost and will not stop new commercial projects. But it will help Flint Hill Fire Department.
