Caring Hearts Food Ministry, Inc., is a registered charitable non-profit 501(c)3 Equal Opportunity Provider formed in March 2009. During 2018 we served 1 million pounds of imperfectly delicious and nutritious 'rescued' food to 15,000 clients. We also want to thank our team of dedicated Volunteers for sharing their time and generous heart and spirit to serve our community to the Glory of Christ Jesus. Beside our regular FreshChoice pantry food distribution, we have several special food distribution programs we are very proud of: Operation Feed Our Vets, the widely popular WOW Mobile Produce Pantry monthly every 3rd Friday and coming soon... family night and senior health with extended evening and weekend hours. Be sure to check out our ongoing cooking classes, nutrition education, grocery shopping tours or biometric health evaluation. All operations are suspended until further notice due to Covid-19 Pandemic. Caring Hearts Food & Nutrition Ministry is an all-volunteer charitable non-profit. We do our ministry work by focusing on locally-based nutrition initiatives and community outreach efforts including: education, nutrition awareness, food aid, life coaching, health screenings and lifestyle choices. We work hard to make a difference and impact our community and people's lives. At Caring Hearts Food Ministry & Nutrition Initiative, we provide nutritious, supplemental food choices to food insecure families, Veterans, Seniors on fixed incomes, unemployed, under-employed, displaced and homeless. We aspire to show compassion to silent suffering by empowering people, showing authentic kindness, and by helping to restore their dignity with a FreshChoice. We also hold ourselves completely accountable to our Communities, Clients, Donors, Volunteers, Staff and Board, so that we will do the best we can to alleviate hunger and food inequities in the Tristate area of Arizona, California and Nevada. Where there are people in need, we will be there lending a Caring Heart & helpful hand, a smile, and an encouraging word. Maintaining healthy, happy environments is an important, and often neglected part of aid work. We work diligently with our local community to provide improved access to healthy, fresh food and unrestricted nutrition & lifestyle assistance to thousands of families in our tristate areas. We do our best to procure the most imperfectly delicious, nutritious foods we can rescue to deliver a ready supply of healthful meals for each family we serve. A lot of consideration goes into our nutrition policy and we pride ourselves in being able to search out the best 'rescued' gleaned, yet nutritious foods to serve more meals for your household. They break concentration and make the future seem impossible. Giving food is essential to creating healthy people. Not only do we meet family's food needs, we offer free nutrition evaluations, cooking classes and health vitals for those who feel the need to participate. Isaiah 58: 10-13

Our Story

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME AND EXPANDING OUR MOBILE SERVICES. Stay tuned here for updates on our new location and grand opening coming in Spring 2020. We do our food and health ministry work by focusing on locally-based community outreach efforts including education, nutrition awareness, food aid, life coaching, health screenings and lifestyle choices. We work hard to make a difference in peoples lives. At Caring Hearts Food Ministry and Nutrition Initiative, we provide fresh, nutritious food to working families struggling with food insecurity, Veterans, Seniors on fixed incomes, unemployed, under-employed, students & kids, displaced and homeless. We aspire to show compassion to people's suffering by empowering families, showing authentic kindness, and helping to restore their dignity with a FreshChoice. We also aspire to be completely accountable to our Communities, Clients, Donors, Volunteers, Staff and Board, so that we will do the best we can to alleviate hunger and diet-related chronic disease in the Tristate area of Arizona, California and Nevada. Where there are people in need, we will be there lending a caring heart, helpful hand, a smile, and an encouraging word. Maintaining healthy, happy home environments is an important, and often neglected part of aid work. We work with our local Teachers, Youth Groups and community organizations to provide food and assistance to many folks in our tristate areas. It is our desire to encourage healthy, nutritious, lifestyle choices.

Resolving food insecurity with unrestricted access to nutritious foods is essential to creating healthy people. Not only do we meet immediate food needs, we also offer free bi-monthly health vitals, nutrition evaluations, cooking classes, shopping tours and faith-based lifestyle workshops for those who are interested. We do our best to look for the most nutritious foods we can procure so that we can deliver a ready supply of fresh food for each family we service. We pride ourselves in adopting a nationally recognized nutrition and environmental policy to reduce food waste and improve diet-related ailments. A lot of planning goes into our nutritious FreshChoice Food Pantry by searching out the best quality, imperfectly delicious, rescued foods so that we provide more choices and diet options for your household. OPERATION FEED OUR VETS We are continually working hard to honor our Veterans by creating special programs that give them and their families nutritious food, gently used clothing, health screenings, vitals & blood sugar checks, Military information, financial aid outreach, and help with living accommodations. We also have created a special "Veteran's Pack" which includes all the personal essentials you may need. We service our Veterans on their own special days, which is the 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month - Location TBA.

WOW MOBILE PRODUCE PANTRY Our ‘With Out Waste’ WOW FreshChoice Pantry provides free, unrestricted access to fresh produce and pantry items. We Pop-Up in a parking lot near you with permanent and pop-up locations throughout mohave county and tristate region.
