At Woofs & Whiskers, transparency and accountability matter. As a government-run shelter that proudly accepts public support and donations, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care and quality of life for animals throughout Morgan County.
Through compassion and collaboration with community members and partners, we help lost animals find safe, loving, and nurturing homes.
Today, we are sharing July statistics for all animals brought into the shelter, as well as the outcomes for those animals — including pets reunited with their rightful owners and those placed into loving, nurturing homes.
July was a very busy month for transfers because of our partnership with Front Range Freedom Rescue; we were able to transfer out 19 baby kittens who required round-the-clock care. Our dogs were transferred to the Prison Trained K-9 Companion Program, PAWSecond Chance Rescue, and Humane Colorado!
We couldn’t be more grateful for the partnerships that we’ve developed to help give these animals the best chance of finding their forever home, rather than spending time in the shelter.
