It was a privilege to recognize Standard Glass as the City of Fort Morgan's Business of the Month recipient at last night's city council meeting. The family owned business has been a mainstay in the Fort Morgan community for more than 50 years and has provided commercial, residential, and automotive glass repair and replacement needs.
Standard Glass was purchased in 2014 by Ray Keefe from another respected local business owner, Steve Crabill. Ray felt strongly about keeping the business family owned and committed to serving the community. Originally located on Railroad Avenue, the Keefe's moved operations into a larger space located at 216 State Street after three years of operation. Son Trystan joined the business after serving in the military, and for the past three years, he has served as the store's general manger.
As the industry has evolved, the Keefe's continued to invest in newer tools, equipment, and technology while still staying committed to personalized local service. Many customers have recognized Standard Glass for its fair, competitive pricing, helpful staff, professional installation work, and use of quality material. The locally owned and operated business also supports numerous organizations that make Fort Morgan a better place and enhances its community fabric.
Congratulations, Standard Glass, for your outstanding efforts and contributions in making Fort Morgan a great place to live, work, and enjoy!

Congratulations to Century 21 Cornerstone on its selection as our Business of the Month! For more than a decade, Mary and Adam Walter and their team of ten Realtors and three managers have done more than help families buy and sell homes and properties. They have continued to invest and contribute in the community they love. The list of local organizations and nonprofits that have been touched through this business's generosity is almost endless. As Mary notes, "We want to emulate and occupy a cornerstone in the community, and one of the best ways to do this is to give back through support."
The full-service real estate company not only aids in the buying and selling of residential properties, but they also offer property management and landlord onboarding services as well with the management of over 300 doors. Some of Century 21 Cornerstone's sales associates also specialize in commercial , fine homes & estate, as well as farm & ranch properties and can assist with property transactions throughout Colorado.
In addition to the business's strong adherence to service commitment, the real estate operations are focused on quality. All of the ten associated licensed real estate agents at Century 21 Cornerstone are Realtors who adhere to a strict code of ethics and high standards of conduct.
Due to this operational culture of professionalism, integrity, respect, and customer service, several awards, including the Century 21 Quality Service Producer and RealTrends Verified have both honored our Business of the Month recipient for exceptional client first service and sales performance.
Thank you, Century 21 Cornerstone, for your outstanding efforts and contributions that make Fort Morgan a great place to live, work, and enjoy!

The City of Fort Morgan is pleased to recognize El Valle Restaurant as our June Business of the Month. Owners Gabriel and Ana Pablo entered the food scene with their San Miguel food truck, which still serves customers today in front of Autozone. Through operating it, they gained cooking skills, developed signature dishes, and acquired business operational skills and savvy. Several years later, they opened their first brick and mortar restaurant, San Miguel off Ensign Street.
When a highly visible location on Platte Avenue became available to purchase, the Pablo family decided to expand again, and El Valle restaurant became their newest venture a year and a half ago with its own unique menu of delectable dishes.
A considerable investment both in the interior as well as exterior of the building was made in turning the former garage and autobody shop into a pleasant sit-down restaurant where customers can enjoy the homemade tortillas, sopes, and gorditas that Ana prepares weekly in its kitchen. El Valle is open seven days a week, like their other food establishments, and employs 12 to 15 employees among the trio of businesses in order to serve local as well as traveling patrons.
Not only do they serve customers, but they serve the community through contributions to various fundraisers in Fort Morgan. The business is also a member of the Fort Morgan Area Chamber of Commerce.
El Valle serves as an example of the hard effort and tenacity it takes to establish and grow a small business. The lessons learned and proceeds from their small food truck operations are what funded the restaurant located at 129 West Platte Avenue sixteen years later. Congratulations!
