The City of Fort Morgan is excited to recognize Skydive Orange Skies as the Business of the Month for September! Based at the Fort Morgan airport, Skydive Orange Skies brings thousands of visitors to our community each year for an unforgettable skydiving experience. Approximately 10,000 jumps are performed annually, with the majority being from its 6,500 out-of-town visitors.
The business has continued to grow over its nine years of operations. Recently, it developed a new audience of thrill seekers and is the only freefall skydiving outfit in the United States that offers jumps to kids. Last year, approximately 50 youngsters took advantage of this opportunity traditionally reserved for adults.
Former U.S. Marine and owner Mike Bohn and his team of 25 pilot and instructor contractors are also committed to giving back, supporting veterans, local nonprofits, youth, and the Fort Morgan aviation community as well. Mike serves on the Airport Advisory Board and was instrumental with hosting several of its Fort Morgan Fly-In and Air Expo events.
Along with the nearly 2,000 online 5-star reviews, we would like to laud this business for its top-notch customer service and contributions it provides in order to make Fort Morgan a great place to live, work, and enjoy!

Many of the buildings we work in and the businesses that occupy them have helped shape Fort Morgan as we know it.

The Fort Morgan Times building and its current owners, the Morgan County Family Center, continue to benefit our community, and earlier this month, City Councilmembers recognized this when the building was designated as a local historical landmark.

This dedication is more than a placard. It’s an opportunity for the Family Center to pursue additional resources to enhance the property's structural integrity, preserve a piece of history, and boost community support with additional programs.

After purchasing the Times building earlier this year, the Family Center has been focusing on renovating the space to better serve Morgan County residents. The center can now serve its diverse and multicultural patrons with a space to learn life skills, participate in educational classes, and connect families and individuals with resources like housing and utility assistance.

The City's economic development (City Progress) office was thrilled to be a part of it and share what led up to bringing Hollywood to Fort Morgan! It was a privilege to recognize Standard Glass as the City of Fort Morgan's Business of the Month recipient at last night's city council meeting. The family owned business has been a mainstay in the Fort Morgan community for more than 50 years and has provided commercial, residential, and automotive glass repair and replacement needs.
Standard Glass was purchased in 2014 by Ray Keefe from another respected local business owner, Steve Crabill. Ray felt strongly about keeping the business family owned and committed to serving the community. Originally located on Railroad Avenue, the Keefe's moved operations into a larger space located at 216 State Street after three years of operation. Son Trystan joined the business after serving in the military, and for the past three years, he has served as the store's general manger.
As the industry has evolved, the Keefe's continued to invest in newer tools, equipment, and technology while still staying committed to personalized local service. Many customers have recognized Standard Glass for its fair, competitive pricing, helpful staff, professional installation work, and use of quality material. The locally owned and operated business also supports numerous organizations that make Fort Morgan a better place and enhances its community fabric.
