Tomorrow, Saturday, September 26, Glenn Miller Park will host another downtown event. To accommodate vendors and attendees, the following streets will be closed to through traffic.

🚧 100 block of Beaver Ave.
🚧 400 block of State St.
🚧 400 block of Main St.

📌 State St. and Main St. are expected to reopen on Sunday, September 27.

City departments have been busy preparing Glenn Miller Park to host another large outdoor event.

Throughout the weekend, the City of Fort Morgan Street Department will adjust road closures downtown to accommodate traffic. Residents should expect street closures in the following areas:

🔹Friday, Sept. 18: Closures begin early in the 100 block of E Bijou Ave. and E Beaver Ave. Starting at 4 p.m., the 400 and 500 blocks of State St. will be closed to through traffic.

🔹Saturday, Sept. 19: Main St. will be closed between Platte Ave. and Railroad Ave. Additional travel restrictions will be in place on Kiowa Ave., Beaver Ave., and Bijou Ave.

🔹Sunday, Sept. 20: Traffic restrictions will be in place in the 500 block of State St. and Bijou Ave., with full closures impacting Main St. between Bijou Ave. and Kiowa Ave. until Sunday afternoon.

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Main St. will be closed between Kiowa Ave. and Railroad Ave. starting early Friday morning, September 11.

This closure will remain in effect until Sunday, September 12, while vendors set up for an outdoor event taking place in the 200 block of Main St on Saturday, September 12.

Residents can expect temporary street closures as the Fort Morgan Homecoming Parade makes its way to Legion Field this Friday, September 11.

Here is the route for the Homecoming Parade. We will leave FMHS at 4:45 pm on Friday, September 11th.

Multiple city departments have been busy getting downtown ready for an outdoor event this weekend!

From Recreation and Parks to Light and Power, our Street Department, and so many others behind the scenes, these teams work hard to prepare these outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy.

With this weekend's event, residents should prepare for street closures along Main St. from E. Bijou Ave. to E. Kiowa Ave., with an additional closure on State St. between E. Bijou Ave. and E. Beaver Ave. starting at 4 a.m. on Saturday, September 5.

🚧Road Closure🚧

Road repairs along E. Burlington Avenue are expected to move farther north Friday afternoon and continue into Saturday. During this time, through traffic on E. Burlington Avenue will not be permitted.

Individuals needing access to the Cargill parking lot will need to use Barlow Road.

Residents are advised to follow posted detour signs for alternative routes.

The City of Fort Morgan is excited to recognize Skydive Orange Skies as the Business of the Month for September! Based at the Fort Morgan airport, Skydive Orange Skies brings thousands of visitors to our community each year for an unforgettable skydiving experience. Approximately 10,000 jumps are performed annually, with the majority being from its 6,500 out-of-town visitors.
The business has continued to grow over its nine years of operations. Recently, it developed a new audience of thrill seekers and is the only freefall skydiving outfit in the United States that offers jumps to kids. Last year, approximately 50 youngsters took advantage of this opportunity traditionally reserved for adults.
Former U.S. Marine and owner Mike Bohn and his team of 25 pilot and instructor contractors are also committed to giving back, supporting veterans, local nonprofits, youth, and the Fort Morgan aviation community as well. Mike serves on the Airport Advisory Board and was instrumental with hosting several of its Fort Morgan Fly-In and Air Expo events.
