In our 4-H program, youth ages 8 to 18 complete different projects related to our earth including Gardening, Beekeeping, Entomology, Outdoor Adventure, and Wildlife.

We would like to wish you a Happy Arbor Day. A special thank you goes out to our Seedling Tree Sale participants. Your support of Extension means a lot. ❤️

Arbor Day celebrates one of the most overlooked assets in our local community, our trees. 🌲🌳

These plants support us in many ways including offering shade, managing storm water, preventing erosion, sequestering carbon, providing wildlife habitat, controlling pollution, reducing wind, saving energy on your electric bill, improving public well-being, increasing property values, reducing stress, attracting businesses to town, and reducing crime.

Let's all take time today to appreciate trees whether it is going on a walk among them, giving them a bit of extra love by turning on that sprinkler, planting new ones, or calling your local Extension Office to learn more about them. 😊
