Three ceremonies. One week. Thousands of new Sailors and Marines.

This week, the Navy commissioned the Class of 2026 at the U.S. Naval Academy, commissioned NROTC graduates in San Diego, and graduated the latest class of recruits at Recruit Training Command. From Annapolis to Great Lakes to the deck of USS Midway, the fleet got bigger.

CLASS OF 2026
Newly-commissioned Navy officers throw their covers into the air at the U.S. Naval Academy Graduation and Commissioning Ceremony in Annapolis, Maryland, May 22, 2026.

OATH OF OFFICE
Newly-commissioned Ensigns from San Diego NROTC take their oath of office during their commissioning ceremony at the USS Midway Museum, May 21, 2026. Twenty Navy and nine Marine Corps graduates received their commissions during the ceremony.

BATTLE STATIONS
CAPT Robert Conner, commanding officer of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic, attends the capping ceremony aboard USS Trayer (BST-21) at Recruit Training Command — the final event recruits must complete before graduating from boot camp.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 and the newest graduates of Recruit Training Command.

326 days. 57,713 nautical miles. Welcome home.

The USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group has returned, and behind every statistic is a Sailor who was there for every mile of it.

From standing watch on the bridge as the ship pulled into port, to meeting a newborn child for the first time on the pier, to manning the rails as Norfolk came back into view, these are the moments that remind us what service actually looks like.

A VERY SPECIAL SEA AND ANCHOR DETAIL
Lt. Connor Watkins stands watch on the bridge of USS Gerald R. Ford as the ship makes its return to Norfolk, one of countless watchstanders who kept the ship safe across 326 days at sea.

HOMECOMING
Sailors assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) man the rails as the world's largest aircraft carrier returns to Naval Station Norfolk following a historic 11-month deployment spanning U.S. 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Fleets.

WORTH EVERY DAY
Aircrew Survival Equipmentman 3rd Class Omar Mora meets his newborn child for the first time on the pier at Naval Station Norfolk.

LONG-AWAITED REUNION
A U.S. Navy Sailor kisses his son on the pier at Naval Station Norfolk, May 16, 2026.

Welcome home, Ford Strike Group.

4. Once verified, use your e-gift card at any Navy Exchange Uniform Center.

Already paid out of pocket? Contact the Navy Uniform Matters Office at [email protected] and provide details on the items owed and receipts showing the date and cost of purchase.
