If there’s one thing FPE loves, it’s a good dress-up day to show our school spirit! Throughout the year, Panthers can expect fun themed days as we build school spirit, celebrate our successes, and make memories together!

Today, the staff of Colonial Elementary, Fort Myers Middle, and Franklin Park Elementary came together at Colonial Elementary for our annual Community Partnership School Back-to-School Kickoff! This year’s theme, “Changing the Track: Rewriting the Soundtrack of Student Success,” challenged each school to celebrate a favorite musical decade while reminding us that we all have the power to help change the future for the students we serve.

A special thank you to Dr. Jesse Jackson III for an inspiring message that reminded us that every interaction, every lesson, and every relationship has the power to make a lasting difference in a child’s life. Thank you to our United Way Team for making this event possible and Colonial Elementary for being great host. We are energized, united, and ready to begin a new school year with one shared mission: helping every student succeed. At FPE, our Agents of Excellence have accepted the mission, and we’re ready to ROAR to Excellence!

Our teachers have been hard at work this week preparing for an incredible school year! From explicit instruction to curriculum planning to reviewing our school wide systems, our teams have spent the week learning and collaborating to ensure every Panther succeeds. Together, we are building a strong foundation for a year of growth, achievement, and academic excellence. We can’t wait to welcome our Panthers back and begin the mission! Attention FPE Families!

Please review our morning arrival and afternoon parent pickup route before the first day of school.

For the first two days of school, we will adjust our procedures to accommodate the larger volume of traffic. Please follow the directions of our parking lot staff to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.

Beginning on Day 3, we will transition to our normal arrival and dismissal procedures.
We appreciate your patience and kindness as our team works to:

🐾 Establish smooth arrival and dismissal routines.
🐾 Dismiss students as quickly and efficiently as possible.

A huge thank you to our United Way Team for sharing more about the Community Partnership School (CPS) Model with our staff! Through an engaging presentation, an interactive activity, and a collaborative case study, our team gained a deeper understanding of how the CPS model strengthens student success by connecting academics, families, health, and community resources. Thank you for a fantastic presentation and for helping our Agents of Excellence continue the mission!

Agents, your mission is to spend quality time together as a family! Take time to unplug and enjoy an activity together before the school year begins. Here are a few mission ideas:

What a wonderful start to the 2026–2027 school year! It was such a joy to welcome back our returning Panthers and meet so many new Panthers joining the FPE family. Thank you to all of the families who attended Open House and helped make the evening such a success.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for an amazing year as we Accept the Mission, Achieve the Goal, and continue ROARing to Excellence together! See you on the first day of school, Panthers!
