“Help! I can’t write my essay!”...sound like you? 😖‼️

Worry no longer! Join our Writing Tutors on Zoom for their Writing Center Microworkshops! These workshops are designed to help you build up your writing skills so you can tackle any essay that comes your way! 💪

Microworkshop topics include crash courses on MLA and APA formatting, help with topic sentences, how to write an annotated bibliography, and MORE! ✍️

There will be multiple weekly sessions throughout October and November. Each session starts at 11:30 AM, and lasts for 30 minutes.

Need to prepare for the Florida Civic Literacy Exam? 📝❓

Join our very own Professor Jane Charles on Zoom for her FCLE microworkshops! These workshops are designed to help you build the knowledge and confidence you need to pass the Florida Civic Literacy Exam. You will also receive a practical study guide at the end of the session, too! 📚

There will be 2 FCLE microworkshops per month. Each session starts at 11:30 AM, and lasts for 30 minutes.

If so, make sure to check out the Revs Institute display at the FSW Collier Campus Library! The Revs is an award-winning automotive museum in Naples. They have a large collection of vehicles spanning decades that would impress any car enthusiast out there! 🤩

The Revs also has their own Archives & Research Center, where they process items like model cars! Interested in pursuing a student internship with the Revs to get some archive and research experience? 🤔 Please contact the Revs and the FSW Career Connection Center for more information, and to ask about eligibility. On September 11th, one of our amazing librarians, Victoria SanFilippo, visited Canterbury School’s AP Seminar and AP Research students to teach them how to research like a scholar! 🎓

Victoria delivered an educational presentation to the students; she guided them on skills such as developing research questions and evaluating sources. Victoria also introduced the students to scholarly databases such as EBSCO and JSTOR, so they can find the most reliable articles available for their research needs. 📚

To provide this sort of information to a group of students is invaluable. They will carry these resources into the rest of their academic careers! Thank you to Victoria for sharing her knowledge, and thank you to Canterbury for having her! 💜💙
