This week we celebrate 35 years of Florida Healthy Start!

Since 1991, Healthy Start has worked to improve birth outcomes, reduce infant mortality, and support healthy child development for families across Florida. For 35 years, Healthy Start programs have helped connect parents and caregivers with the education, resources, and support they need throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the early years of a child’s life.

We are proud to be part of this statewide network and to continue serving moms, babies, and families throughout Southwest Florida. Thank you to our community partners, supporters, and families who help make this mission possible every day.

Here’s to 35 years of healthier beginnings and stronger families. 🩷

We are celebrating 35 years of Healthy Start! 🎊 Since 1991, Healthy Start programs across Florida have helped connect families with the resources, education, and support they need for healthier beginnings.

We are honored to be part of this mission and grateful to our partners, supporters, and families who make this work possible.🩷

Today we celebrate 35 years of Florida Healthy Start! 🎉

Created on June 4, 1991 by Governor Lawton Chiles to improve birth outcomes and support healthy child development, the Florida Healthy Start program remains instrumental in reducing infant mortality and helping Florida families navigate pregnancy, childbirth, and the important early years of child growth and development.

We are grateful for the enduring support of the Florida Legislature, state agencies, and our community partners. Most importantly, we are grateful for the families who invite us into their homes and their lives and allow us the privilege of supporting them and their babies. 💗

May is Water Safety Month! 🌊

This Water Safety Month, remember that drowning can happen quickly and silently, especially for young children. Staying alert, using proper safety equipment like life jackets, installing pool barriers, and learning CPR are all important steps that help keep families safe around water.

Whether you’re at the pool, beach, lake, or even using small kiddie pools at home, supervision is key. Stay within arm’s reach of children, avoid distractions, and encourage safe swimming habits early.

Together, we can help prevent drowning and create safer environments for everyone this summer ☀️🛟
