92.5 FOX News invites the entire Southwest Florida community to join in a moving patriotic tradition as the station hosts its annual Field of Flags on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
This year’s Field of Flags carries special significance as the nation marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and for the first time, the tribute will expand across Southwest Florida with simultaneous ceremonies in Cape Coral,
Estero and Naples.
92.5 FOX News staff, listeners, local leaders and volunteers will gather at three locations across Southwest Florida — Bernice Braden Park in Cape Coral, Hertz Arena in Estero and Artis Naples to plant 2,977 American flags in remembrance of every innocent life
lost.
Jim Schwartzel, owner of 92.5 FOX News, says, “Twenty-five years. A lot of people planting flags this year weren’t even born yet, and that’s exactly why we do it. This isn’t about politics — it’s about patriotism, honoring the people we lost, and making sure
the next generation understands what that day meant.”
