The Fort Myers Fire Department Region 6 Hazmat Team hosted a large-scale regional hazmat exercise focused on radiation emergencies using live radiation sources, simulated drug labs and explosives, and hazardous chemical containment incidents. Seven Regional Hazmat Teams and multiple state agencies participated to strengthen interagency coordination, technical response capabilities, and regional preparedness for complex hazardous materials emergencies.
