**An Important Message from our Executive Director**

The Rainsville Freedom Run/Walk will soon be here, June 6, 2026. You still have time to register. The fee is $35 until May 31 and then a slight increase to register in June.

The event is more than a race to see who crosses the finish line first. It is a great opportunity to participate with family, friends, and others to help raise money for very worthy organizations. The Women's Care Center has been blessed with very generous donations from the Rainsville Freedom Run and its participants. The funding helps us to continue providing free services such as obstetric ultrasounds and pregnancy tests as well as clothing items for babies and children. So don't delay! Register now. And take it from someone who knows, you can be last in the race and still have fun and make a difference in someone else's life!

What: Women's Care Center Annual Banquet

When: Tuesday, September 15, 2026

Where: Fort Payne First Methodist Church Life Center

Guest Speaker: David Williams

The early chapters of David’s life are characterized by a confusing childhood followed by years as a young adult filled with alcohol, partying, sexual immorality, unwanted pregnancies, abortion, marriage, adultery, and divorce. In his mid 20’s he met Jesus and his life began being transformed by God’s amazing grace. A couple of years later he left a promising career to enter into full-time ministry. Over the past 25 years, he has served in various ministry roles including a short stint as the chaplain of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Currently, David is the Associate Pastor at Discovery Church | Alafaya in Orlando, Florida. In this role he gives leadership to men’s, young adult, and marriage ministry. He serves on the Men’s Leadership Team and as a Chapter Leader with SaveOne, an international ministry that helps men, women, and families recover after abortion. He is on the leadership team of Sound the Call, a bi-annual pro-life conference in Florida, hosted by One More Child.

David has contributed chapters in two books ‘Tears of A Fisherman: Recovery of Men Wounded by Abortion’ and Ein Neubeginn (New Beginning) – Real Stories of Healing After Abortion (in German and English). His story has been featured by Focus on the Family (SeeLife Live ‘21), Chris Fabry Live (Moody Radio), and CTN (Christian Television Network). He also speaks at events, retreats, and conferences for men, college students, and youth.

David received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. David and his wife, Terea, their six children and son-in-law live in Orlando. David also has an adult son who lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

A special thanks to the DeKalb County Master Gardeners for continuing to maintain our Memorial Garden for The Unborn.

The Garden is a beautiful place, offering peace and serenity for those who have lost a child to either abortion or miscarriage.

Inquire at our office if you wish to memorialize an aborted or miscarried child by having their name engraved in our gazebo.
