5 Costly “Rookie” Medicare Mistakes

Many people enroll in Medicare and assume they're set for years to come. In reality, Medicare plans change every year.

If you've had Medicare for only a year or two, now is an excellent time to start reviewing your current coverage and exploring new plan options. Changes in costs, prescription drug coverage, and provider networks could mean there's a better plan available for your health care needs and budget.

💙 You don't have to figure it out alone. Your local SHIP program provides unbiased, personalized Medicare counseling and can help you compare plans, understand enrollment periods, and avoid costly mistakes.

Start reviewing your options now so you're prepared when Open Enrollment arrives.

We had a great time at our Sock Hop, last month! These pictures include our participants, staff, and sponsors.

We would like to extend a special thanks to our sponsors: “As Close As Family” and “Jack's”.

We would also like to thank our Line Dance class, “DJ’s Favorites”, for paying for the rest of the event!

Our dancers are hosting their next fundraising event on Saturday, 8/15/26 with their annual Line Dance Workshop. This also helps to pay for other free programs for 60+ residents in DeKalb County!
