Some mornings start before the sun rises… and some start as early as 3:00 AM.
In the last three months, those early mornings have meant something life-changing for 141 cats and dogs, a second chance.
Because of our incredible rescue partners, 141 animals have been transported out of St. Lucie County to continue their journey toward loving homes. Each one leaving with hope, because someone said yes to helping them.
At the Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center (FPAAC), we are always working around the clock to save lives. A lot of the most heartwarming stories — the ones that truly show the impact — are the ones you don’t always see posted. But they are happening here every single day.
We may not always have the time or staffing to share every moment on social media, but please know the work never stops.
Transports take planning, coordination, and a team willing to show up — even in the middle of the night. Long hours, early alarms, and late nights… all for that moment when an animal gets their second chance.
A huge thank you to our transport team Summer, Denver, Kelsie, Natasha, and Veronika — for the early mornings and long nights.
And to the rest of our incredible staff at the center, thank you for everything you do every single day. It truly takes all of you to make this possible.
To our rescue partners — thank you for believing in these animals and helping us give them the futures they deserve.
Because of these partnerships and this team, lives are being saved every single day!
This is what second chances look like. 🐾
