🚧 Road Closure Alert: Utility and Road Work on SR 68/Orange Avenue 🚧

Beginning Sunday, Sept. 29 at 10 PM, SR 68/Orange Avenue between 5th Street and 7th Street will be closed 24/7 until approximately Friday, Oct. 11 at 5 PM.

Detours:

Westbound: Take N 5th St ➡️ Ave A ➡️ N 7th St

Eastbound: Take S 7th St ➡️ Atlantic Ave ➡️ S 5th St

Improvements Include:
-Milling & Resurfacing
-Pedestrian & ADA upgrades
-Signal and lighting enhancements
-Bicycle shared-lane markings

Walk this way! While the US 1 Resurfacing Project from Virginia Avenue to Sunny Lane in Fort Pierce is continuing to add more improvements, pedestrians are encouraged to use the detours and pardon our dust as crews work to upgrade sidewalk and curb ramps.

Other improvements include resurfacing the existing travel lanes with the exception of the Taylor Creek Bridge, installing new pavement markings, upgrading signage, and upgrading pedestrian signals and pushbutton detectors at intersections with traffic signals. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to make our roads safer and more accessible for everyone!
