We had such a great time celebrating the amazing moms in our community at our Mother’s Day Baby Shower. So many smiles, laughs, and special moments shared all in one place.

To all the moms we have the honor of supporting, you are strong, loved, and truly appreciated more than words can say. We’re so grateful to walk alongside you in this journey.

A special thank you to our incredible community partners: Fort Pierce Yacht Club, Garden Club of Fort Pierce , Fort Pierce Sportfishing Club, Jackson Drugs, Goodfellas Pizza and so many others who helped make this day so meaningful for our moms. Your support made it all possible.

Wishing you all a beautiful and Happy Mother’s Day.

Wave of Light Remembrance Walk

As we end the week and head into the weekend, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on something truly special. Last week, we came together in love, remembrance, and solidarity to honor the precious lives lost to infant mortality.

The evening was filled with warmth, light, and community as we walked under the stars, each step a tribute to the memories that live on in our hearts. We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this event so meaningful. Your presence brought comfort, strength, and hope to families walking a similar path. Together, we lit up the night in honor of all the little lights gone too soon but never forgotten.

💙 Special thanks to
- Indian River State College
- HCA Lawnwood Hospital
- Love from Lincoln
- Randy & Norma Bullis
- Yates Funeral Home
- St. Lucie Trail Golf Club
- Psychotherapy Center of Indian River

Make sure to join us next year as we continue to Walk in Remembrance.

Mark your calendars and bring your appetite, because on Thursday, September 25th from 5:00–8:00 PM, we’re teaming up with Blaze Pizza in Port St. Lucie for a delicious way to give back!

Join us at 11175 SW Village Pkwy (or order online for pickup or carryout) and Blaze will donate 15% of your meal to support the amazing work of our Nurse-Family Partnership program.

Two easy ways to support:

Dine in and tell the cashier you're there for the fundraiser.
Order online or through the Blaze app and leave a comment showing your support.

Whether you're a pizza lover, a supporter of our mission, or just looking for a great excuse not to cook, we’d love to see all staff, families, and friends come out and support this great cause. Every slice makes a difference.

Congratulations Carolyn Moses!

As we come to the end of the week, we want to take a moment to acknowledge Black Maternal Mental Health Week.

Here at Healthy Start Coalition of St. Lucie County we stand with every mom navigating the journey of motherhood. This week we want to acknowledge Black mothers, who too often face that journey without the care and compassion they deserve.

Mental health is maternal health.

For Black women, this can mean confronting anxiety, trauma, racism, dismissal, and silence...often without adequate support.

📊 Did you know?
▪️ Over 40% of Black mothers experience symptoms of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), yet they are half as likely to receive treatment.
▪️ Black women are twice as likely to experience postpartum depression as white women.
▪️ Structural racism, stigma, and lack of culturally competent care all contribute to this crisis.

This week, we’re lifting up moms, honoring lived experiences, and amplifying community-driven solutions because raising awareness is just the beginning.
