🇺🇸On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the City of Fort Pierce Special Election will be held due to a vacancy in the office of City of Fort Pierce City Commission, District 2. Only voters residing in the City of Fort Pierce, District 2 are eligible to vote in this election.
Gertrude Walker, St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections stated, "Sample ballots were mailed to eligible voters on October 3, 2025, which contained vital information regarding the election and detail on the three voting methods available; Vote-By-Mail, Early Voting and Election Day."
📆The deadline to request a Vote-By-Mail ballot to be mailed is October 23, 2025. October 6, 2025 Deadline to Register for November 4th

City of Fort Pierce Special Election

The deadline to register to vote is Monday, October 6, 2025, for the City of Fort Pierce Special Election which will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The Special Election is due to a vacancy in the Fort Pierce City Commission, District 2, Seat 2. Therefore, only residents of Fort Pierce, District 2, are eligible to vote in this election.

Gertrude Walker, St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections, announced that qualified residents have the convenient opportunity to register to vote online until midnight on October 6, 2025, in order to participate in the Special Election. In addition, voters who are already registered should check their voter registration information to determine if they are residents of District 2.

Eligible residents can register to vote at any of the Supervisor of Elections four office locations until 5:00 pm today. The main office in Fort Pierce will be open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on October 6, 2025. Registration requirements to vote in St. Lucie County are listed below:

• U.S. Citizen and resident of Florida and St. Lucie County
• At least 18 years old
• Not adjudicated mentally incapacitated, or if so, voting rights restored
• Not be convicted of a felony, or if so, voting rights restored

Supervisor Walker is optimistic that residents of St. Lucie County will take advantage of the extended office hours to register prior to the upcoming deadline.

Supervisor of Elections Kicks Off FIRST VOTE High School Voter Registration Drive

St. Lucie County, FL- Gertrude Walker, Supervisor of Elections announces the kickoff of the annual FIRST VOTE High School Voter Registration Drive from April 10, 2025, through April 17, 2025.
The drive is an annual effort of the Supervisor of Elections in cooperation with the St. Lucie County School Board and private schools. High School students 18 years of age will have the opportunity to register to vote. Students who are 16 and 17 years of age may pre-register.

“Our goal is to inspire the youth to vote and empower them to become engaged citizens” stated Supervisor of Elections, Gertrude Walker. Supervisor of Elections staff are scheduled to visit high schools during First Vote Week and will be on hand to assist the high school students and teachers with the voter registration process.

To register, students must provide one of the following forms of identification:

• Last 4 digits of Social Security Number
• Driver License Number
• Florida Identification Number
