The Village of Fort Plain Police Department was honored to participate in the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Central School District’s Wellness Day!

This event brought together local and state agencies to promote healthy choices, safety, and overall wellness — especially with prom season right around the corner. The theme, “Courage to Change,” encouraged students to think critically about their decisions when it comes to driving, peer pressure, and substance use.

We were proud to stand alongside the Village of St. Johnsville Police Department , Montgomery County Public Health, Advancing To***co -Free Communities
“ATEC” of Hamilton• Fulton- Montgomery County’s, the Recovery Community Outreach Center, Montgomery County STOP-DWI Program, and New York State Police in delivering powerful safety demonstrations and life-saving messages.

Thank you to OESJ for inviting us to be part of this important day.

The Village of Fort Plain Police Department is proud to partner with HFM BOCES to provide internship opportunities for students interested in law enforcement.

Through this program, students have the chance to observe an officer’s daily responsibilities firsthand and gain valuable insight into the profession. While participating, students are required to follow strict guidelines—especially when out on the street—ensuring their safety remains our top priority at all times.

We’re committed to supporting the next generation and giving them a meaningful, real-world look at what it means to serve and protect our community.

Good morning. It was nice to meet with Fort Plain High School Student Isis Hammond. Isis and Officer Rick Insogna stopped in the Village office yesterday to meet with the Mayor and the office staff.

Isis is doing an internship through the HFM Boces Criminal Justice program at the Fort Plain Police Department.

We wish Isis the best of luck with her internship.
This is yet another example of the school and the community working together to benefit our students.
