Throughout 2026, our library will be hosting exhibits from members of the Arts Factory, an organization dedicated to showcasing the artistic talent found in our area. Our current display features the work of painter Garlyn MaGinnis, whose abstract landscapes evoke both natural and interior landscapes. We've included a few samples in this post, but photographs don't do these paintings justice--be sure to check them out in person next time you're at the library!

We're very pleased to announce that the schedule for our Summer Reading Program is now online! But what (you ask, as you look at the image below) is Dino Tales? What will kids learn in The Stitch Lab? Are we *really* painting a cave?! We're pleased to report that our printer is back up and running! (It's very pleased too, as you can see from this photograph.) As a reminder: printing at our library is 10 cents per page for black and white, and 25 cents per page for color!

Please note: our printer is temporarily out of order! We are waiting on a replacement part, which we expect to arrive soon. In the meantime, our other services remain available, and we'll update this post as soon as printing is restored!

Thank you to everyone who attended our book discussion this afternoon! We hope you'll join us in July as well, when we'll be discussing Tracy Chevalier's novel "Remarkable Creatures." Inspired by the real-life story of 19th century fossil hunters Mary Anning and Elizabeth Philpot, this book also fits the theme of this year's summer reading program, "Unearth a Story" (more details on that very soon)!

When we saw that Sleepy Forest Bakeshop was featuring Lord of the Rings-themed treats this week, we had to join in the fun! After picking up your donuts, scones, and Helm's Deep Dish Pizza, head over to the library to check out the books that inspired it all, from The Hobbit to The Silmarillion and beyond (did you know that, in addition to the Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien also wrote a series of letters to his children as Father Christmas? Now's your chance to read them)!
