Good morning, Fort Polk community! 🚑🚒⚠️
Today, Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital is participating in the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk Full-Scale Exercise.
As part of this training event, beneficiaries may notice increased emergency response activity around the hospital, particularly near the Emergency Department. Emergency vehicles, first responders, and exercise personnel may be visible throughout the day.
✅ There will be NO impact to patient care.
✅ All scheduled appointments will continue as planned.
✅ All clinics, ancillary services, and support operations remain fully operational.
✅ The Emergency Department remains open and ready to provide care 24/7.
This exercise helps ensure our team remains prepared to respond to real-world emergencies while continuing to provide safe, high-quality care to our Soldiers, Families, retirees, and beneficiaries.
Thank you for your patience and support as we train to maintain readiness and continue Delivering for the Warfighter.
⚠️ NOTICE: FULL-SCALE EXERCISE ⚠️
If you see emergency vehicles moving quickly across the installation in early June, do not be alarmed.
On June 2–3, Fort Polk will conduct its annual Full-Scale Exercise. This year’s training scenario includes a simulated hazardous materials incident.
During the exercise, you may see:
🚑 First responders
🚓 Emergency vehicles
🚒 Increased emergency activity across the installation
Please note:
🚧 Exchange Road will be closed June 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
🚧 Additional temporary road closures may occur to support the exercise
This training helps ensure our Soldiers, Families, and civilian workforce remain prepared for real-world emergencies.
We ask the community to:
✔️ Avoid interfering with the exercise
✔️ Follow posted detours
✔️ Obey directions from first responders
Preparation protects our community.
