Fort Riley COVID-19 Update
UPDATE
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fort Riley Community has done an excellent job adapting to changes in day-to-day life, coping with hardship, and protecting those who call the Flint Hills home. As a result of the diligence, discipline, and responsibility displayed by our Soldiers, Civilians, and Family members, the prevalence and transmission of the virus has declined in the local area.
For this reason, after careful consultation with disease experts, professional analysts, and community leaders, the Commanding General has updated the COVID-19 General Order.
The specifics include:
*Mask Wear. Service members are required to wear a mask in any public space or facility, both in and outdoors, on and off the installation.
*150 Mile Radius. Rescinded
*Curfew. Rescinded
*Restaurants and Bars (Including Aggieville). Service members are permitted to dine-in at restaurants and bars between 0500–2100. Service members will wear masks in restaurants and bars unless actively eating or drinking. This includes entering and exiting the facility, sitting at tables and bar tops, using the restroom, and during all movement in and around the establishment.
*Off-Post Gyms. Soldiers are authorized to use off-post gym facilities. Soldiers will wear masks while in off post gyms, even if not required by the individual gym’s policy.
*In-Home Visitor Limit. Increased from 6 persons to 10 persons
*Barracks Room Visitor Limit. Increased from 1 person to 3 persons.
*Travel and Restriction of Movement. Service members incur a 14-day quarantine when returning from a high risk area (as defined by the CDC or KDHE).
*The Trusted Traveler program, in which valid DOD ID cardholders can vouch for up to 7 occupants in their vehicle, is reinstated randomly. At any time for any reason without announcement, the program may be suspended. All occupants aged 18+ in vehicles entering the post should always be prepared to present valid identification.

It is important to remember the virus has not disappeared and there are possibilities of increased spread from new variants if we let our guard down. Each of the changes is contingent on the continued discipline of our Soldiers, Civilians, and Family Members, and the virus’s impacts on the local area. As conditions change, we will modify restrictions and mitigation measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
