"Against All Odds!" Out of the 21 truly qualified candidates from Attack Company, 3 crossed the 12 mile finish line to complete their final event and earn the coveted Expert Infantryman Badge. Throughout 2 weeks of train up and 1 week of testing, Attack candidates honed in on their basic Infantry tasks and drills. Every participant came out on the other side more practiced and lethal than they began! All completed in time to roll into Team and Squad STX/LFX next week 🤘

Congrats to our final 3, y'all crushed it;

Leaders within Attack Company took the last three weeks to plan, resource, and execute a Team Leader Academy. Its purpose was to provide a baseline for our junior mounted & dismounted leaders and set a standard for their roles in the formation and in the training progression.

The academy took place over 5 days with blocks of instruction on basic administrative action, medical care, communication platforms, and small unit tactics. It culminated in a 36 hour field training exercise (FTX) with these leaders putting to use what they just learned.

Each newly minted leader now can say they are better prepared and better equipped as Attack by shifts its focus to TEAM & SQUAD LFX.

Three known constants -
1- Taxes
2-Never bring a knife to a gun fight
3-Attack Company continuously finding ways to train in get better each day

The formation has been busy the past couple of weeks (what’s new?) as they executed their Spring Gunnery Progression. This included all new personnel across the organization from Bradley Commanders to Drivers. And instead of just focusing on the problems they found solutions consistently. Through the Gunnery Skills test to their TABLE 3-6 ex*****on the company rose to those challenges and continued to fight. While the progression proved to be challenging at each echelon every crew came out better prepared and aware of what they need to do to be best postured to support each other as they progress.

As they finish up recovery the team gets ready to refit and go full force into Team & Squad LFX next month.

A little late to the party, but hope all have been enjoying the lovely Kansas weather with the start of the brand new year.

Attack Company has been staying busy these past few weeks with the start of the start of their Small Arms Training Density. This provides out soldiers the opportunity to gain additional training on their assigned weapons systems along with gaining additional experience & insight in improving their craft.

This also was a chance for Junior leaders to teach many of the new soldiers blocks of instruction on Marksmanship and Small Unit Tactics. And as always our formation continues to maintain the fleet while finding new opportunities to conduct unscheduled recovery of their vehicles.

The formation continues to strive to become better individually while building new cohesive teams as they push towards our next big training event of Gunnery.

Attack Company has been busy these past few weeks after it has finally returned in full from EUCOM.

The Soldiers are hard at work focusing on individual tasks to prepare them for upcoming Gunnery and E3B. Additionally, much of the formation has taken it upon themselves to improve physically as the Company recently executed its first ACFT on Q1FY24. And as always the team deliberately takes care of their chariots of war - the M2A3 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle (BIFV).

The work we put in now makes us harder to hit in battle.

While we have begun the transition back to FRKS, a few members of Attack Company took advantage of some great training opportunities prior to their departure.

1LT John Jacoby (pictured above) was able to successfully graduate Pathfinder School as part of an MTT based in Romania with the 101st Airborne Division. Additionally, SSG Andrew Khuman (not pictured) was able to participate in and achieve the convented Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB) while in Poland. 1LT Jacoby is currently serving as a Platoon Leader in 2nd PLT while SSG Khuman is serving as the Platoon Sergeant for 3rd PLT.

Both did extremely well and represented the Company & Battalion tremendously. We look forward to them taking the lessons they learned and applying them to the members of Attack!
