Update, as of 8-Jan. If you have questions, please contact your chain of command.

In 2020, we fought the virus on the defense—the wear of face coverings, physical distancing, sanitation, and travel and occupancy restrictions helped quell the spread. While we must continue to apply defensive measures, for the first time we are attacking!

At Fort Riley, 100% of our volunteering first responders and emergency medical care personnel have been inoculated with a safe and effective vaccine approved by the Federal Drug Administration.

Now more than ever, we need everyone to keep up the fight. As expected, we are experiencing an increase in COVID-19 cases. However, again and again we are seeing individuals and families preventing the spread by observing the appropriate movement restrictions.

To maintain this momentum, the #COVID19 General Order has been updated with the following:

• Social gatherings and visitations are prohibited inside all housing on the installation.
• Service members are prohibited from having or attending social gatherings inside any home/barracks on or off the installation.
• These prohibitions apply to parties, dinners, social clubs, meetings, social visits, and similar activities.
• These prohibitions do not apply to visits with immediate family members, duty-related activities, childcare, tutoring, welfare checks, providing care for an individual or pet, repair or cleaning services, and similar nonsocial activities.
*While conducting any authorized activity, individuals will maintain a distance of six feet from one another, abide by sanitation requirements, and wear face coverings when physical distancing requirements cannot be met.

The arrival of the vaccine and first series of inoculations is only the start of our offensive against the virus. In conjunction with our defensive efforts, our generation can also achieve a great Victory. Keep it up!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

But if he was, he would be quite bored, because the house was covered with cardboard;

Every gift arrived in a great big box, to carry the away it won’t take an Ox.

Load up the truck or car; lucky for you the Fort Riley Recycle Center is not far. -For the holidays, many have boxes piling up. Bring us your cardboard but not your old wrapping paper (that does not recycle). You can use the 24-hour drop off location near the intersection of 4th and G Streets in Camp Funston.

Happy Holidays Lifeline Team!

When will we know about returning dates?
Lifeline!!! Please take the time to remember why you are here and why you can take these couple of days to relax and enjoy your Family and friends. To all the families who have lost someone in the midst of the storm our great nation has endured the last couple of years and throughout history, this day is truly for you and to thank you. It is foolish and wrong to mourn the great men and women who gave the greatest sacrifice. Rather we should thank the Heaven and Earth that such great women and men lived!! I WANT TO THANK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!!! FOR WHAT YOU DO!! AND HAVE DONE!! Stay Dagger!! And Always Lifeline!!!
Lifeline Family: First, I want to wish each and every one of you, and your families a safe, joyful and Happy Holidays. I want thank you, for all you have accomplished this year for Team Lifeline. It has truly been an honor and humbling experience to have witnessed the great work each one of you have done throughout the Dagger Brigade. I want to take this brief time to express my heartfelt thanks to you and say, as we move forward into the New Year, with each New Year comes new goals. I would like to set a goal for our Team: Stay Engage with our Soldiers, with friends and our families. We as Leaders do not take enough time out of our schedules to check on one another or conduct candid conversations with battle buddies and Leaders. As we move forward this should be one of our goals. Leaders we need to engage, seek self-improvement and build a relationship of trust and confidence within our Soldiers, Families and our Leaders I want to leave you with something I have said on several occasions and these words will never change! I thank each and every one of you for being a part of the Team. WE NEED YOU! YOU ARE AN IMPORTANT MEMBER ON THIS TEAM! Always remember, as you move forward throughout the holidays. Please be safe! I challenge each and every one of you, as Leaders and a Soldier to talk to your battle buddy, speak to them, engage them and see how they are doing, during this Holiday season. Although some are forward and others are getting ready to take a break from work to enjoy family and friends and open up long overdue gifts from love ones. We have to remember someone in our formations will not be able to do this due to distance or because a love one has passed. This time of year brings more pain and depression than joy for some Soldiers, and Family members. As Leaders, we will not know what our teammates are feeling unless we get involved, stay engaged and be committed. Again thank you for all you do and continue to do! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you and your family members for your support and dedication to the Team. LL7

Lifeline, be aware and be safe! Especially as families prepare for Soldiers departing.
Team Lifeline, Have a safe and fun weekend, enjoy your four day and stay focus. For the last couple of days I have observed true professional and unit pride from America's best. I am truly blessed to be part of this team. Congratulations on your great accomplishments over the last couple of days rather it was learning something new about your job or your Soldiers or passing your APFT, qualifying at the range, or going to the promotion board, or last but not least pinning on the next rank. Be proud, be humble and be safe. Thank you for all you and your family do and continue to do. Lifeline 7
