3. Historical Narrative: 2012 was a refocusing and regrouping year for the 3-382d (LSB) There were not very many training highlights as of the years passed, however every Battle Assembly produced sound NCOPD/OPDs as well as other beneficial training requirements. The LSB capped off its 29 month long re-fuel operations in the summer of 2012 at North Fort Hood, TX ISO the 166th AVN BDE mobilizations of over 20 deploying expeditionary forces (DEF) scheduled for tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. 20 Soldiers were responsible for the ongoing fuel support during those months. The LSB also had four Soldiers allocated to the maintenance mission support for the 166th AVN BDE and 120th IN BDE at both North and South Fort Hood, TX which yielded the successful fabrication of Long and Short Horn Auxiliary Airfields and up-to-date maintenance schedules for all organic vehicles. In June 2012 the LSB conducted a home station Annual Training that resulted in 10 Soldiers Combat Life Saver (CLS) certified and 20 Soldiers successfully trained during the driver training and rail-load exercise.
