Yesterday afternoon, the family gathered together to celebrate the incredible achievements of our staff during our monthly Awards Ceremony.

While this monthly tradition is always a highlight for our team, yesterday's ceremony carried an undeniable weight. It marked the very last awards presentation presided over by our Hospital Commander, COL Laudino Castillo Rojas, ahead of our upcoming Change of Command next week.

Goodbyes are hard when a leader doesn't just manage an organization, but genuinely invests in its people. Over his tenure at IACH, COL Castillo Rojas has been a fierce champion for the medical readiness of our Active Duty Soldiers and the deep-rooted care required for their families. From mentoring future Army medical providers to forging vital community partnerships, his leadership left an unforgettable mark on Fort Riley.
