In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the 1st Infantry Division has reviewed and adjusted its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. As a result, certain posts have been removed, are in a process of being removed, or modified to maintain consistency with federal guidance and uphold the integrity of our official communication channels. Content will be archived in accordance with DA PAM 25–403.The U.S. Army and 1st Infantry Division remains committed to transparency, professionalism, and adherence to DoD directives while continuing to engage with our community in a manner that reflects our core values.

Earlier this week we said goodbye to CPT Lewis, who has been with the squadron for over 3 three years. He served as a Platoon Leader in A TRP and as an S3 LNO for German and Polish forces while deployed. His leadership and hard work will be greatly missed by everyone here at 1-6.

We are sad to see CPT Lewis go, but wish him the best in the future!

This morning one of our Troopers was promoted from SPC to CPL! CPL Cole is a great asset to the unit and was recognized for her hard work as a member of the S1 team.

Today we promoted CPL King to SGT! From the very start of his tone with us, SGT King has been one of the hardest workers within the unit. Doing everything from facilitating effective maintenance operations, to teach and mentoring young Soldiers within his Troop, SGT King has embodied the ideals and principals which make for a strong NCO. As he continues to serve in the Unit, we look forward to the future results he is known for!

Friday we had the pleasure of promoting one of our finest Junior NCOs to Sergeant! SGT Todd has been with the Squadron for nearly 4 years, assisting all Soldiers/NCOs/Officers with all personnel and award actions, and has held the highest standards each and every day he's served. As he continues to serve the Unit, we look forward to the continued leadership he brings.

Earlier this week we promoted one of our Officers from 1LT to CPT! CPT Phillips has been with the squadron for several years, and has filled positions ranging from Platoon leader to Staff. He chose to conduct his promotion on the airfield, where the ceremony was graced with an F-16 flyby, and Polish aircraft maintenance testing. He currently serves as one of the members on Squadron Staff, and has been an instrumental player in our day to day operations.

As he continues his service to the Unit, we look forward to the leadership he will continue to bring.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of holding a re-enlistment ceremony for our retention NCO, SSG Valle! This outstanding NCO has assisted several of our Troopers in their careers, by helping re-enlisting them to remain with the Squadron, or helping individuals refocus their pathways into other duties outside of the Squadron if they deem they are called elsewhere.

We thank SSG Valle for all his work and effort, and wish him the best as he continues to serve within the Squadron.
