Fort Riley Pets/Fort Riley Animal Shelter We are a small Animal Shelter in Fort Riley, KS. Many of the animals for adoption have been found on post but not claimed by an owner.

We are serving Fort Riley Residents and reunite them with their lost animals and also adopt out unclaimed and Surrendered animals. Due to limited space and resources we are only able to take in strays found on Fort Riley and surrenders from active duty military personnel, however we do adopt out to Civilians and also work with Rescue Groups in and out of State. Military regulation requires that al

l found animals be held for 3 business days, after which time they are available for adoption. If you would like to put your pet up for adoption but don't want to take them to the shelter we can advertise your pet on facebook and adopt-a-pet. Call or come in for more information. This is our highest possibility of severe weather so far this season. This is not to scare you because there still may be several areas that don't get high impact severe storms but being ready for worse case scenario is recommended
