A huge mile stone was celebrate today when CPT Snell, the 164th Theater Airfield Operations Group / Air Traffic Service Command S1 OIC got promoted to MAJ.

COL Polen pointed out the the key differences that lie within the two ranks, experience, and scope of responsibility: company grade officers focus on direct, tactical leadership of small units, whereas field grade officers handle larger formations, strategic planning, and broader systems-level thinking.

Following the promotion, COL Polen adminstered MAJ Snell the Oath of Office, renewing his personal commitment to the U.S. Constitution and the nation.

Sir, congratulations!

Yesterday, 1SG Maria McKnight relinquihed her responsabilities as the 1SG of HHC 164th TAOG to 1SG Sakpraneth Khim.

1SG McKnight and family were fair-welled and recognized for her time in the 1SG role.

1SG Khim and family were welcomed in the War Hawk Family with the traditional yellow roses as per Army tradition.

This marks a new chapter for the HHC’s Soldiers and an opportunity to grow. The best of luck to SFC McKnight and family in th next adventure and welcome to 1SG Khim and family.

In HHC TAOG we stay busy. We work hard, we accomplish a lot and we ensure to let our Soldiers know they are valued and appreciated.

This week we had the pleasure to award SSG Cannon as she off to her next duty station. We wish her and her family will forge new great lasting memories at their new duty station. She was an intrigal part of our formation and will be missed.

SFC Sullivan served in few positions while assigned to 164th Theater Airfield Operations Group / Air Traffic Service Command and has done a fantastic job and took his responsibilities seriously. Sad to see you go, but we know the immense contributions you are making to the Army as a whole! Best of luck on your next chapter SFC Sullivan.

Lastly, SSG Ruiz… this young NCO crushed it in our S3. There are times when life doesn’t take us where we want to go, but where we need to go. We are proud of you, and wish you the best in this new chapter!

This morning was a 164th Theater Airfield Operations Group / Air Traffic Service Command kinda of morning!

12 mile ruck march with a 0300 start time. It doesn’t get any more Army than this 💪🏽

Great job to PV2 Davis, SGT Jerdon, SPC Latham, SPC Gamboa, SGT Gilmore (597th Maintenance Detachment) and SPC Pool for the effort and dedication.

1LT Knight and SGT Velez set the pace, SPC Jowers assisted as the medic, and a huge thanks to MSG Bowser, MSG Garrison, SSG Kemp, SGT Cooperwood and SPC Adorno for they support and monitoring the participants!

The evaluation of this 12 mile validates our participants to attend the much sought after Air Assault School 🤩

Talking about starting the week MOTIVATED!

COL Polen recognized CPT Karst on her stellar performance during the CDP Inspection 💪🏼

Also, Soldiers all across TAOG are conducting Driver’s Training this week to add to our overall readiness and ensure our military vehicles are well taken care of and safely operated.

A big shout out to my Motorpool NCOs that coordinated, planned and executed a PMCS class for 110th Aviation Brigade Soldiers. As NCOs, our main role is to train our future generation of War Fighters and ensure they are ready to cary the torch forward!

One way the U. S. Army instills confidence in its Soldiers it’s through hard, realistic training. With this effort in mind and to keep molding our fighting force, HHC 164th Theater Airfield Operations Group / Air Traffic Service Command has initiated the Air Assault Assessment Program led by 1LT Knight and SGT Velez. This morning Soldiers of 164th TAOG went through the packing list, smoke session and a few obstacles to get accustomed with.

Our Soldiers’ dedication is obvious, their strength is growing every day and 1LT Knight and SGT Velez demonstrate the dedication needed to impower these Soldiers with the right knowledge, and confidence to graduate AASLT School.

Also, huge thank you to MAJ Scully for stopping by and bestowing some knowledge!

Celebrating Independence Day is not merely about remembering a historical event—it is a reaffirmation of the values that define the American experiment. The principles outlined in the Declaration of Independence, such as the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, continue to inspire generations and serve as a benchmark for evaluating the nation’s progress.

America’s Independence Day is more than a summer holiday—it is a day rooted in the history of a nation’s courageous leap toward self-independence. It celebrates the enduring principles of freedom and democracy and serves as a powerful expression of national pride. As Americans honor July 4th each year, we are reminded not only of where we came from but also of the work that is ahead in preserving and strengthening the ideals upon which this country was founded.

Happy 4th! 🎆
