It's okay to have some fun sometimes! 5 & 6th graders from Christian Learning Center came out and learned how to put on gear, roll out hoses, and then of course we had to have a water fight! Everyone had a fantastic day!!

What a busy day! The fire department started the day off with a medical call, and not long after we had 2 fires! First being on Grand rd, and the second being on Jayhawk rd. Less than 2 hours later we received another call for a grass fire on 35th st. Units responded quickly and was able to get the fire contained before it was able to spread any further!! As a result of the last fire, we received several calls reference the smoke in several areas on the west side of the county making 6 total calls for District 3 today! Calls started at 11:30 this morning and not ending until about 6:00 tonight!

Huge thank you to Scott Township Fire Department for the mutual aid, Rhonda Dewitt for the food from Chicken Shack, and Dave Bruner for the case of water!

The fire department responded to a structure fire that started out as a controlled burn. Unfortunately the control burn caught the barn on fire with hay inside. Units reported and very quickly got the fire under control. Thank you to all volunteers for their hard work and quick response!!

The fire department has training every last Sunday of the month. Today we discussed grass fires and went over tankers. We all are ready for grass fire season!!

We have an amazing cook that spoils us every month and makes sure we don't go home hungry!!

This month we started a volunteer of the month! Every month one of our members will receive a challenge coin for the great work and dedication!!
