Did you know children age 10 and older comprise the largest age group in out-of-home placement in the state of Kansas❓ They represent 52.33% of the total foster population. Older youth in care often face increased barriers to permanency and stability and may remain in the child welfare system longer than younger children. As a result, focused advocacy and individualized support are critical to ensuring their needs are addressed and their voices are heard.
