Assist! Protect! Defend!

On May 2nd, 1986, the Military Police Corps Regimental Coat of Arms is approved by the Department of the Army.

Description: On a wreath made of the Military Police colors of green and yellow sit a pair of crossed pistols. On a shield with a field of green, a fasces with axe sits palewise (vertically), with a key and sword sitting saltire (crossed), and a balance (scale) in fess (horizontally).
Symbolism: The crossed pistols are the symbol of the Military Police Corps' mission; to uphold law and to keep order. The fasces is an ancient symbol of authority for Roman magistrates. The balance is symbolic of equal justice under law. The key signifies security ensured. The sword represents military power.

Denim Day 2022

April 27, 2022 marks the 24th celebration of Denim Day in the US. Denim Day is the annual sexual assault awareness event that works to start conversations about the destructive attitudes surrounding sexual assault, such as victim blaming.

Soldiers in our 40th/ 902D Military Police Detachment are focusing on sexual assault prevention and intervention.

Today, was "Teal Tuesday" meaning Soldiers got to wear the color teal to work. The teal color ribbon is a national symbol of support for victims of sexual assault, we wear this in support and show our continuous efforts to end sexual harassment and assault cases nationwide.

Kicking off SAAPM week with our first event, Paint & Prevent. Mr. Dave Carnahan, the Garrison SARC, spoke to the Soldiers about prevention & intervention. Each Soldier also had the opportunity to paint a canvas of their choice, which will be displayed in the unit’s AO.
