Need Childcare After Your PCS?

Moving overseas with kids is stressful enough without the "where will they go while I'm at work?" panic. If you’re PCSing and worried about the waitlist at your new duty station, there is a specialized travel reimbursement that can help bridge the gap.

If you are headed to a new duty station and the local installation child development center is full, you might be eligible for up to
$1,500 in travel reimbursement. This benefit covers the cost of bringing a designated caregiver (like a family member or trusted provider) to your new location to help out.

Do You Qualify?
You can tap into this $1,500 reimbursement if you meet these two criteria:

1. Request Denied: You’ve applied for full-time care at your new installation’s childcare center.
2. Waitlisted: You’ve been notified that a spot won't be available within 30 days of your arrival.

How to Claim It
Don't leave money on the table during an already expensive move. For full details on the application process and eligibility requirements, visit the official portal: https://public.militarychildcare.csd.disa.mil/ mcc-central/mcchome/travel-reimbursement

🕶️ Your mission, should you choose to accept it...

Operation: Family Readiness is a go! In the military, getting the right intel at the right time is critical to mission success. Going rogue and relying on the social media rumor mill for unit updates? That is a risky mission. Your unit’s Soldier and Family Readiness Group (SFRG) is your official, secure network for command updates, crisis support, and community connection.

📁📲We are currently recruiting "Agents" to join the team! Whether you want to step up as an SFRG volunteer or simply ensure your contact info is on the official roster to receive updates, your involvement makes the whole unit stronger.

🤝🛑 Action item: Secure your connection. Ask your Soldier or reach out to your Command Team today to get added to the roster or learn about volunteer opportunities.

⏳ This post won’t self-destruct in 5 seconds, but you shouldn’t wait to act! Are you already on your unit's roster? Let us know with a ✅ in the comments! 👇

📦 ACS & SFRG: Help organize community events, holiday drives, or unit activities.❤️ Red Cross: Participate in base-wide initiatives and support programs.Plus, it pays off! Teens and spouses can build their resumes, and Soldiers can log hours in the Volunteer Management Information System (VMIS) toward the MOVSM.
