Users and visitors to the City’s Social Media Sites shall be notified that the intended purpose of the site is to serve as a means of communication between City departments and members of the public. Articles, posts and comments on the City’s social media site that contain any of the following forms of content shall not be allowed and shall be removed as soon as possible:

i. Content that promote

s, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;
iii. Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;
v. Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems;
vi. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party;
vii. Comments in support of, or in opposition to, any political campaigns or ballot measures;
viii. Solicitation of commerce, including but not limited to advertising of any business, service, or product for sale or lease;
ix. Conduct in violation of any federal, state or local law;
x. Content that violates a legal ownership interest, such as a copyright or trademark of any party;
xi. Harassment or content which constitutes and/or facilitates stalking;
xii. Content which violates the right to privacy;
xiii. Repetitive content;
xv. Comments which may reasonably interfere with, inhibit, or compromise law enforcement investigations, police tactics, police responses to incidents and/or the safety of police staff and officers; or,
xvi. Posts or comments that contain any external links.
