Today we’re celebrating one of the most hardworking hearts in our building!!

Our speech therapist, Kristi Russell, gives her all every single day to help students find their voices, build confidence, and grow in ways that many people never fully see. She pours so much care, patience, and dedication into every child she works with.

And while her job comes with endless paperwork, meetings, schedules, and behind-the-scenes responsibilities, she still shows up with compassion and determination for students every single day.

We see the hard work. We see the stress. And most importantly, we see the incredible difference she makes. Our students are so lucky to have her cheering them on.

Dear Fort Smith School District parents,

Arvest Bank is excited to announce that our 16th annual Million Meals campaign is set for April 1 through May 31. This bank-wide initiative challenges bank associates, customers and communities alike to participate in fundraising efforts to fight hunger in the more than 110 communities we serve.

We are asking for your help on this initiative to provide meals to families in need, many of them who attend Fort Smith Public Schools.

Fort Smith Public Schools, including all elementary/middle/high schools, has committed to participating in a coin drive from May 11th through May 15th, with all monies being collected and counted on the morning of May 15th. The winning elementary school will receive a fun treat and a special financial education presentation given by our Fort Smith Arvest associates. The winning middle school and winning high school will each receive a traveling trophy and a special financial education presentation as well. All funds raised will directly benefit local students through our partnership with Community Services Clearinghouse backpack program.

Over the years Arvest has partnered with our local schools for special fundraising efforts. We have found this method to be very successful because it provides some fun and teachable ways for the children of our community to get involved and make a difference. We realize that many of the families are impacted by the lack of food on a daily basis, and we want to do our part to eliminate this hardship.

Since 2011, we have raised more than 28 million meals for those in need. We hope that you will consider partnering with us so that we can reach our goal in helping provide meals to hungry families.

Thank you for your continued support and for your help in the fight against hunger in our community!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Caldwell
