Grandparents! Please swing by the office in the days ahead of the Grand Gathering to scan your ID and make the check in process faster.
♥️Grandparents (or a special someone) are invited to join their student for A Grand Gathering on Friday, September 11 at Woods Elementary School!
This is one of our busiest days of the year, so PLEASE read and share these important details with your guests!
⏰ LUNCH TIMES
Kindergarten, Pre-School & McCabe: 10:45-11:15
1st & 2nd Grade: 11:25-11:55
3rd & 4th Grade: 12:05-12:35
5th Grade: 12:45-1:15
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
RSVP IS REQUIRED. Return the bottom portion of your flyer to school.
• Purchasing a school lunch ($5): RSVP by Sept. 4
• Bringing your own lunch: RSVP by Sept. 9
🪪 Guests must have their ID scanned each school year. If possible, stop by the school office BEFORE Sept. 11 to do this and make check-in much faster.
If your guest can no longer attend, please notify your child’s teacher before the event so your student can be prepared for the change.
Students without a guest will eat with their teacher in the classroom and receive a special PTA treat.
🗒️ Make sure your guest knows your child’s lunch time, grade AND teacher’s name! Writing it on a sticky note for them to bring is extremely helpful. Guests will line up in the entry hallways, meet their student as the class walks through, and then enter the cafeteria together.
Guests may bring lunch for themselves and their student or pre-purchase a cafeteria lunch for $5 by Sept. 4.
PLAN AHEAD FOR LUNCH! Our first lunch begins at 10:45, and many restaurants do not begin serving lunch until 10:30.
Have multiple students? Guests must exit the cafeteria after each lunch and return to the entry hall to meet their next student. If there is a lunch period between your students’ assigned times, you must return to the office/entry area and wait until your next student’s lunch begins. Seating is limited, so guests may only remain in the cafeteria while eating with a student.
If attending back-to-back lunches, there is NOT enough time to leave for food between lunches. Bring everything you need when you arrive!
All normal school rules and procedures regarding absences and student checkout will apply. Students may only be checked out by an authorized individual.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! Help is needed with setup, cleanup, resetting tables between lunches, and guiding guests and students. Sign-up information is coming soon!
