Sebastian County, located in the Arkansas River Valley, is on the Western edge Arkansas, bordering Oklahoma. There you will find forested ridges, rolling farmlands, mountains and lakes. Sebastian County was named after William K. Sebastian,
a U.S. Senator, and judge. With only 529 square miles, it is the smallest county in the State but has two county seats. One is at Ft. The other at Greenwood.

Despite the inclement weather situation, voting sites are open Wednesday, January 28th regarding the Republican Primary runoff for the vacant Arkansas Senate seat 26 formerly held by Gary Stubblefield. In Sebastian County early voting will be held at 221 South Coker Street in Greenwood from 8am to 5pm.
