Thank you to Baptist Hospital & Crystal Lougin for hosting the Senior Care Alliance May General Meeting. We had a terrific lunch and appreciated the warm hospitality.

A special thank you to our guest speakers: Jackie Floyd, RN, CWS, OMS, Wound Ostomy Specialist and Francois Van Der Watt, CPO/LPO, representing Van Der Watt Prosthetics & Orthotics, for sharing their knowledge and expertise with our members.

We appreciate everyone who attended and continue to support Senior Care Alliance and our mission to educate, empower, and equip our community in navigating the challenges of aging. 💙

As we are looking at the rain outside our window or worse-as we are getting drenched going from one place or another-the Board for Senior Care Alliance have found ourselves again disappointed that we will need to postpone Senior Appreciation Day as previously scheduled. Once you have dried off, mark your calendar to move Senior Appreciation Day from May 28th to October 2026. Stay tuned for a date in October.

SCA General Meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27th at 12-1pm. Join us at Baptist Hospital (glass classroom beside the Shuffield Center). Baptist Hospital will be providing lunch. Our guest speakers will be Jackie Floyd, RN, CWS, OMS Wound Ostomy Specialist and Francois Van Der Watt, CPO/LPO, Van Der Watt Prosthetics & Orthotics.

Senior Care Alliance visits Senior Centers throughout the River Valley each month through our “Sweet Connections” outreach program, providing education, resources, and SCA bags filled with valuable information for seniors and caregivers.

Please help us support our community by bringing your brochures, flyers, promotional items, or other marketing materials to the next General Meeting so they can be included in our SCA bags.

We typically have 30–40 seniors in attendance at each event and would love the opportunity to help share information about your organization and services with the senior community and their caregivers.
