Sharing a few Summer Safety Tips for Children.

As temperatures rise, a few simple precautions can help keep everyone safe and healthy this summer.

For Small Children

☀️ Apply sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and reapply every 2 hours, especially when swimming.

💧 Encourage frequent water breaks, even if they don’t say they’re thirsty.

👒 Wear lightweight clothing, hats, and sunglasses when outdoors.

🌳 Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning throughout the day.

🍇 Cut grapes into quarters and cut hot dogs lengthwise and into small pieces to reduce choking risks.

🚗 Never leave a child unattended in a vehicle, even for a minute.

🏊 Maintain constant supervision around pools, lakes, and water features.

👣 Protect little feet from hot pavement, sand, and playground equipment.

🥵 Watch for signs of heat illness: flushed skin, excessive sweating, fatigue, headache, dizziness, or nausea.

As we close out EMS Week 2026, we have to thank those of you that stopped by to bless our staff with goodies throughout the week. Our shelves and tables stayed full of all the yummies.

Nothing went to waste and EVERYTHING was appreciated more than you know. The kindness and support shown to our crews means so much to all of us.
