The Fort Smith Crime Stoppers organization and its members work closely with the Fort Smith Police Department and 5NEWS in the promotion of community awareness and activism in the fight against crime. Our primary mission is to use the community as a resource in the solving of local crimes, through anonymous tips. If they lead to an arrest, the person who supplied the information may be rewarded fi

nancially. The Board of Fort Smith Crime Stoppers is charged overseeing the fundraising and administration of the program in coordination with the Fort Smith Police Department. If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to the Crime Stoppers program, please mail a check to:

‪UPDATE: Hakim Williams is now in custody. ‬

Fort Smith Police, working with the Sebastian County Prosecutor’s Office, have obtained an arrest warrant for Murder in the First Degree for 19-year-old Hakim Williams in the Dec. 1 shooting death of Jeremiah Tabut, also 19. Mr. Williams is still at large and should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. If you have any information as to his whereabouts, please call 911 or 479-709-5000 and do not approach him. Reward-eligible tips (up to $1,000) can be submitted to Fort Smith Crime Stoppers by phone at 78-CRIME.

Fort Smith Police are seeking information in the shooting death of Jeremiah Tel Hawthorne that occurred on Oct. 2 in the 1300 block of Jackson St. A reward of up to $1,000 is available to anyone with information that can lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect. Please call FSPD at 479-709-5100. Or, to be reward-eligible, submit tips through Fort Smith CrimeStoppers at 78-CRIME.
