US Attorney Kevin Holmes was invited by the Arkansas School Board Association to make a presentation on Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation at their Fall Leadership Institute in Hot Springs.

Mr. Holmes' presentation was part of a nation-wide education and outreach campaign to help prevent online sexual exploitation and abuse of children and to help ensure that kids who have been victimized receive the support and care they need and deserve.

We are excited to welcome back Brandon Carter to the US Attorney's Office for the Western District of Arkansas as the First Assistant United States Attorney. Brandon was sworn in by United States District Judge Clay Fowlkes at the Fort Smith Federal Courthouse on August 4, 2026. Brandon spent over 12 years in the office before accepting Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders' appointment to become the Prosecuting Attorney for Washington and Madison Counties. Brandon is a four-time recipient of the FBI Director’s Award, receiving the commendation in 2017, 2020, 2022 and 2025. In 2024, Brandon was honored with receipt of the DEA Administrator’s Award for his work as an AUSA. Brandon is a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law, a former Oklahoma State Trooper and former Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Benton County.
