Earlier this spring, students in Ms. Peters’ second grade class partnered with the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) and the ACHE Research Institute Health & Wellness Center for a one-of-a-kind project.

Using the students’ artwork and descriptions as their guide, ACHE students carefully sculpted each monster out of clay, bringing every unique creation to life. When they returned to Carnall for the big reveal, the room was filled with excitement, surprise, and smiles as students met their monsters face-to-face for the very first time. This special collaboration highlights the power of creativity, community, and connection while creating lasting memories for both our students and future healthcare professionals. Thank you to ACHE for helping make these monsters come alive!

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Ms. Alica Johnston, a dedicated and beloved Child Nutrition Manager who served the students and staff of Chaffin Middle School for more than 30 years. Through her commitment, kindness, and care, she helped create a welcoming environment where generations of students were nourished and supported each day.
