Good evening Coastal Healers! Presenting to you, our Coastal Healer of the Month.
SSG Robert Rupers
Hometown: Hull, GA
Who they are: SSG Robert Rupers (68P) has been a Coastal Healer for five months, and in that time he has worked diligently to improve the culture and readiness of both the Department of Radiology (DoR) and the Medical Company (MEDCO). Immediately upon arriving SSG Rupers volunteered to lead the EFMB training program, as well as other department level initiatives all designed to improve Soldier readiness and morale. In just November of 2025 completed his goal of getting all seven DoR junior Soldiers Ammo Handler qualified, in order to better support MEDCO missions. Additionally he developed a long-range training calendar for the DoR, so that by July 2026 all qualified Soldiers in the DoR will have EST Operator, CLS, Combatives, and
Field Sanitation certificates. Finally, SSG Rupers personally mentored a Soldier and conducted multiple practice boards to ensure that she won Soldier of the Month in November. He continually works to ensure improve the readiness of the DoR, and is an excellent mentor for subordinates within the Department.
Why they serve: SSG Rupers had always dreamed of being a Soldier- ever since he was a child he wanted to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps. When he was old enough he joined the Army, selecting 68P as he wanted to be in the medical field in order to maximize his ability to help people.
