Congratulations to Pfc. Anthony Ford, who earned the Army Commendation Medal for his outstanding work during Orient Shield, a four-week joint exercise in Japan.

Among his accomplishments, Ford created his first Army video product, which was widely shared on military news platforms.

Wormley, along with more than a hundred future NCOs, were certified as ACFT graders while attending Basic Leader Course.

“I have those hard conversations with my Soldiers all the time,” Sgt. Morgan Edginton said. “The moment your Soldiers stop coming to you with problems is the moment you failed them. You need to be that safe spot to where you can get them the help that they need and follow through.”

Edginton, a medic assigned to 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, intervened and potentially prevented two suicides within the unit.

“Throughout my career I've been given what I consider the most important thing one can ever receive: an ,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Quentin Fenderson. “Each of you in some form or another have given me the opportunity to , to learn, and to . I know I wouldn't be here without you.”

Fort Stewart welcomed back Command Sgt. Maj. Fenderson as he assumed responsibility as the senior enlisted leader of the 3rd Infantry Division during a ceremony, Sept. 23, at the Marne Garden.

Fenderson previously served with the 3rd ID for 12 year, a span during which he deployed four times to Operation Iraqi Freedom.
