Wow - what a day! Today the Spartan Command team, led by Col. Alexis Perez-Cruz and Command Sgt. Maj. Kirk Ray, awarded over fifty Spartan Soldiers for their incredible efforts and achievements throughout our recent forty-day field density, otherwise known as Spartan and Marne Focus!

Before that, the brigade command team laterally promoted our former Brigade Operations Sergeant Major (and long-time Dog Face Soldier) Andre Gadson, to Command Sergeant Major!

Congratulations to all awardees, and thank you for your commitment, dedication, and leadership! You ALL make us better and represent the BEST of our incredible organization!

A look across real-world, modern battlefields and we see that trenches - features that are sometimes (incorrectly) viewed as antiquated and irrelevant - are still prevalent and effective. Therefore, recently, our Infantry Soldiers from Cronos Company, 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment conducted Platoon Live-Fire Exercises to train Battle Drill 7a: Enter/Clear a Trench!

Many of our adversaries (both irregular and conventional) effectively use trenches - and other subterranean features like basements, tunnels, and sewers - to make it hard for us to find, fix, and finish their forces and respective command posts. However, there will be NO HIDING from units like ours that AGGRESSIVELY pursue becoming MASTERS of the basics.
