Good evening Team,

The 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team will be heading to the range for training density during the entire month of October. During this period expect increased tactical vehicle traffic on Ga. Highways 144 and 119, along with heightened activity around Ft. Stewart. Training noise is also likely to increase, especially during cooler weather when sound is amplified. The Directorate of Emergency Services will place electronic signs on GA highways 144 and 119 to ensure safety. If you see amber flashing lights and Soldiers wearing road guard vest, please exercise additional caution as this indicates Soldiers and or tactical vehicles presence in or near roadways.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and support as our Dogface Soldiers train to defend our Freedom!

Attention Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield community! Our Directorate of Emergency Services now offers In-Lane Vetting at our gates. This process allows gate guards to vet visitors for a 24 hour pass to the installation from their vehicle. Look for DOD/Visitor lanes to use this function at access control points. Checks should take only two minutes or less, but it if more than one person needs a pass during normal hours then visitors must go to the Visitor Control Center. For more information call: 571-801-0273 or 571-801-0277.
