4th BDE recognized volunteers associated with 4th BDE that have went over and above in their efforts of helping the battalions of the brigade. Mr. Jeff Still was the volunteer for 703rd BSB that was recognized. His wife, SPC Cortinas-Still is a medic in C Co. One of CSM Mosier's favorite parts of the Army is Warrior Leader Course (WLC). This is a pivital moment in a Soldier'c career because they are learing to become a NCO. By completing WLC, the Soldier begins to stand out amongst their peers as a Leader.

On December 12, 2011, newly-promoted Non-Commissioned Officers underwent an induction into the Non-Commissioned Officers Corps. This tradition is one way senior NCOs can invite newly promoted sergeants to better understand what it means to be an NCO. Not only did this ceremony give the senior NCOs an opportunity to instill the significance of becoming an NCO into the new sergeants but it also gives the inductees their first true experience of the pride and respect that is inherent with being a member of the NCO Corp. After a heart felt speech from CSM Fisher, the father of our battalion XO MAJ Fisher, the sergeants were inducted to the NCO Corp and will continue to make it their duty to uphold their selves to the standards of being a part of timeless and honorable element of the United States Army.

On December 9, 703rd Maintainers participated in the Liberty County Holiday Parade. The Maintainers marched behind the 4th Brigade Commander, COL Gallahue, and the 3ID marching band. Both LTC Swartz and CSM Mosier lead the soldiers throughout the duration of the parade. The Liberty County community is very supportive of the 3ID soldiers and expressed their gratitude with cheers and kind words for the soldiers as they marched through the streets of Hinesville.
