Last week, Fort Stewart / Hunter Army Airfield Fire Emergency Services got hands on time with the M1 Abrams tank. We focused on familiarization, pre incident fire planning, and extrication considerations, while getting an up close look at the muscle that helps the 3rd Infantry Division , the Dogface Soldiers, bring the thunder.

Training today means we are ready when it counts.

Special thanks to 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division.

0500 update

Forecast calls for 1 to 2 inches of snow and bitterly cold temperatures for Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield

Unlike last year’s snowstorm, our Dogface Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division may not locate the entrance to the Rebel Alliance’s secret base on Red Cloud, but they will get to enjoy snowball fights with their families. Those living in the barracks will also get a rare chance to enjoy some winter fun.

Stay tuned for more updates. Stay safe and stay warm.

Leadership Development

This past week, Battalion Chief Hildreth completed the seven-month Leadership Stewart Hunter Program.

Fort Stewart/ HAAF Fire Emergency Services continues to invest in leadership development that prepares current and future leaders to think critically, communicate effectively, and lead with purpose. Leadership Stewart emphasizes self-awareness, reflection, and the responsibility leaders carry to continuously grow in order to better serve their people and the organization.

The program also provided valuable opportunities for networking and collaboration across both installations, strengthening relationships and promoting shared perspectives among leaders. Ongoing leadership education helps align leaders at all levels, reinforces organizational culture, and supports long-term success.

Developing leaders is not a destination, it is a responsibility.
