Before the Memorial Day weekend began, COL Sinden and the Soldiers from our 2-306 Field Artillery at Tybee Island Beach to complete the Murph WOD in honor of Lt. Michael P. Murphy and all those who gave their lives in service to this nation.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a reminder that freedom was paid for by men and women who never made it home. Today we carried that memory together, one mile and one rep at a time.

“Honor the fallen by how you live and serve.”

Recognizing the very best of the .

Congratulations to SFC Wilfredo Rosa and Mr. Antonio L. Merrell on being honored at the 3rd Infantry Division Volunteer of the Year Ceremony—each receiving the prestigious Marne Spirit Award.

SFC Rosa’s leadership extends beyond the formation—leading Spanish Christian services and providing weekly pastoral care to over 30 families, while continuously giving back to the community.

Mr. Merrell logged over 400 hours of volunteer service, making a lasting impact on Soldiers and Families across the brigade through his selfless commitment.

This is what right looks like—service, leadership, and people first.

Ready for battle.

The observed the 116th MBCT at Fort Pickett during CPX and LFX operations, 16–20 April.

As the first National Guard brigade transitioning to the MBCT construct, 116 MBCT is setting the pace.

From planning and coordination to ex*****on in the field, these units are sharpening communication, leadership, and sustainment across the formation. Our OC/Ts remain alongside them every step of the way—one team.

This is OC/Ts building readiness. Driving lethality. Strengthening the team.

Last week, six OC/Ts completed an intensive 80-hour certification course designed to build proficiency and readiness across multiple training environments.

The course included FPV instruction and academics, flight simulation, indoor and outdoor training to reinforce technical knowledge and operational understanding.

This was more than just certification, it was a demonstration of discipline, adaptability, and commitment to mission success.

As requirements evolve, so do our OC/Ts.

Trained. Certified. Ready.

Last Thursday in Savannah, GA, the came together for the 188th Infantry Brigade Ball—an evening that honored our past and reinforced our purpose.

With the support of First Army leadership, we brought a WWII theme to life by showcasing original 1st Army uniforms and props that reminded us exactly where we come from and why we serve.

Soldiers broke bread, raised a glass, and stood alongside the families who make this mission possible.

BG Fryman, the DCGMOB, said it best “First Army and the 188th are the team building readiness for Compo 2 and 3.”

We don’t just carry the legacy—we build what comes next.
