Chase is missed everyday by all the people who had the opportunity to meet him.

Outstanding County Extension Agent Award goes to Chase McPhaul, accepted by Sam Silvers.

Chase dedicated around 20 years of his life to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, serving families and communities with passion, integrity, and a genuine love for agriculture. He began his career in Crockett County, but quickly returned home to Reagan County, where he continued making a lasting impact on the people and places he loved most. Beyond his work in Extension, Chase was the proud co-owner of MadDog Sheep Company in Big Lake, TX, alongside his best friend, Sam Silvers. The livestock industry wasn’t just his profession; it was his passion. Through his work, mentorship, and willingness to help, he touched the lives of countless families across Texas, leaving a legacy that extends far beyond the show ring. Above all, Chase was a devoted husband and father. He shared his life with his wife, Lauren, and together they raised their two children, Raider and Ramsey, who were the greatest joys of his life. Chase was taken from us in February of 2026, but his legacy of service, friendship, faith, and love for family and agriculture continues to live on in the many lives he influenced. He will be remembered for his dedication to helping others in the industry and the lasting difference he made in his community and across the state of Texas.
