From a thought of “hey wouldn’t it be cool if they let us put a uniform on him…”, to the fruition of that idea! The Lynaugh Unit Laundry Department staff & the talented men who have taken pride in creating the first of what we hope is a tradition of outfitting The Legendary Icon of Fort Stockton, Paisano Pete! From our uniform to school colors, his outfits have become a favorite of the community! We wanted to make sure all these individuals get the praise and recognition for the hard work they have put in!! Out of sight of the public but providing quite a sight for the public!

The Fort Stockton CVB/Visit Fort Stockton, TX was proud to partner with TDCJ - Fort Stockton/Lynaugh Complex to create Pete’s new back-to-school outfit! City Manager Frank Rodriguez, TDCJ Warden & employees, and our tourism team gathered for a photo to celebrate this fun collaboration. 👏🏼
